Dr. Carl Ritch, O.D.

Doctor of Optometry · Owner

Florida-trained. Working in eyecare since 2004.

Dr. Carl Ritch is a Florida native who has worked in eyecare since 2004. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University, with an internship at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville.

Over two decades he has worked across private practice, VA medical centers, and retail optometry — a range that informs how he treats patients today: thorough disease management without the corporate feel. His clinical focus is on glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and the fitting of specialty contact lenses for patients other practices have given up on.

Dr. Ritch has served in the Air National Guard since 2003. The role has taken him through humanitarian projects, hurricane relief efforts, and overseas deployments — and he brings that operational mindset back to the clinic: prepared, calm, and decisive when it counts.

Off the clock he is at the water — fishing, paddleboarding the Brevard County coast — or in the kitchen experimenting with something. He volunteers with local dog rescues.

Clinical focus

  • Ocular disease management
  • Glaucoma
  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Macular degeneration
  • Specialty contact lens fitting

Dr. Becky Crockett, O.D.

Board-Certified Optometric Physician

Pediatrics. Dry eye. Myopia control. The hard stuff, done right.

Dr. Becky Crockett provides comprehensive eye care across the southwest Orlando area, with deeper specialization in some of the harder problems in modern optometry: dry eye disease, pediatric care, myopia management, and binocular vision disorders.

She earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical science with honors from the University of Waterloo in Canada, then her Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. She is a certified fitter for MiSight 1 day contact lenses — a clinically proven option for slowing the progression of childhood myopia — and has spent significant time studying the role of nutrition in ocular health.

Her approach: solve the problem, not just the symptom.

Clinical focus

  • Dry eye disease
  • Pediatric eye care
  • Myopia management (MiSight 1 day certified)
  • Binocular vision disorders
  • Ocular disease management
  • Nutritional ocular health
Dr. Allison LaRue, O.D.

Education

  • University of Florida — pre-professional undergraduate
  • State University of New York, College of Optometry — Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Allison LaRue, O.D.

Doctor of Optometry

The eye is connected to everything. She practices that way.

Dr. Allison LaRue practices the kind of optometry that recognizes how much the eyes can tell us about the rest of the body. Her clinical work covers diagnosis, treatment, and management of disease across the visual system — and she actively connects what she sees in the eye to systemic conditions that affect it.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, then earned her Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry — four years in one of the most clinically rigorous training environments in the country.

Her style: attentive, empathetic, and committed to patient education. She would rather a patient leave the chair understanding what is happening in their eyes than leave the chair quickly.

Clinical focus

  • Ocular disease diagnosis and management
  • Comprehensive eye exams
  • Systemic-condition awareness
  • Preventive care and patient education
